MACKIE-Director of Industrial Design

MACKIE, a brand under LOUD Audio, LLC, is renowned for creating professional audio equipment such as mixers, loudspeakers, and studio monitors. Since its founding in 1988, Mackie has established itself as a leader in the audio industry by delivering high-quality, innovative sound solutions for musicians, producers, and live sound engineers. Known for their durability and performance, Mackie products are trusted by professionals worldwide across various audio production environments.

Brands that were previously owned by LOUD Audio LLC, include ALVAREZ guitars, AMPEG Bass Amplifiers, CRATE guitar amplifiers, EAW and MARTIN AUDIO who both create professional Loud speaker systems.​

 

As the Director of Industrial Design, I lead the design language, product experiences, and human factors across all LOUD Audio products. In addition to my leadership role, I am an active individual contributor, personally designing 10-15 projects annually.  I establish and articulate a clear, cohesive vision for industrial design that guides and aligns teams across product lines. By prioritizing customer experience and ensuring it is communicated effectively to the development teams, I drive the creation of products that not only meet technical requirements but also resonate with users, delivering a seamless and intuitive experience.

Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Led the hiring, training, and mentorship of the industrial design team, cultivating a high-performing department capable of delivering innovative and user-centric products.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Extensive experience collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, and acoustical engineers, PCB layout and software teams, as well as manufacturing partners, ensuring design intent, product quality, and user experience are upheld throughout the development lifecycle.

Product Innovation & Strategy:

  • Partnered with product management and the executive team to conceptualize early-stage industrial design solutions, securing executive approval and inclusion in long-term product roadmaps.

Process Optimization:

Strategix Vision Inc.-Director of Industrial Design

Strategix Vision Inc. was a multidisciplinary design consultancy specializing in industrial design, engineering, branding, and consumer research. We served both established companies and startups, delivering design solutions that spanned concept development, product innovation, and market strategy.  Our approach combined creative design thinking with deep technical understanding to help clients bring innovative products to market successfully.
